High frequency fields (HF fields) are used, particularly by portable
radios, radio and television stations, radar, directional radios,
as well as cordless telephones, baby phones and in microwaves, because
of their extensive range and the rapid dispersion of their waves.
In order to transmit data, electromagnetic waves are sent out in
higher frequencies (100 kHz to 300 GHz), as a result of which electrical
and magnetic fields merge into an electromagnetic wave.
